Honest people should be vocal against anti-state elements: Home Secy

RAJSHAHI, Oct 4, 2025 (BSS)- Home Secretary Nasimul Gani has said that the 
honest sections of the society should be vocal against the anti-state 
elements.

"Activities of the dishonest people can't destroy the society but are 
destroyed by the silence of the honest people," he added.

Forty percent of the country's population is Gen-Z [Generation-Z] and they 
have experienced the July 36 revolution. "They want justice from us," he 
continued.

The Home Secretary made the observations while sharing views with government 
officials from all eight districts under Rajshahi division on the country's 
changed situation at the conference hall of Primary Teachers Institute here 
today as chief guest. 

With Commissioner of Rajshahi Division Khondoker Azim Ahmed in the chair, the 
meeting was addressed, among others, by Deputy Inspector General of Police Dr 
Muhammad Shahjahan, Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Muhammad Abu 
Sufian and Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi Afia Akhter.
 
Home Secretary Nasimul Gani said: "We could not discharge our duties as per 
the demands of the new generation. Actually, we have failed to understand 
their aspiration."

He reminded the public servants that their jobs are not machines for money-
making but it's perform duties to the public in general. 

Nasimul Gani urged the attending officials to perform their duties with 
utmost sincerity and honesty so that the public in general can derive total 
benefits of their services.
