Eye specialists from Singapore to treat July uprising injured Feb 1, 2

DHAKA, Jan 26, 2025 (BSS) - Eye specialists from Singapore will provide treatment to the July-August uprising injured at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital (NIOH) at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar and Bangladesh Eye Hospital in Dhanmondi on February 1 and 2. 

Specialists on retina, cornea, neuro-ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery from the Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore National Eye Centre and National University Hospital and Alexandra Hospital will provide the treatment to those who suffered critical eye injuries during the student-people movement.

The inured will get treatment from 9am to 4pm on February 1 and 2, said a press release.  

Injured persons and their family members can contact 01337343389 (NIOH) and hotline 10620 (Bangladesh Eye Hospital) to register their names.
