Met office predicts mild cold wave sweeping over parts of country

DHAKA, Jan 27, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today
forecasted that mild cold wave is sweeping over north and north-eastern
region for the next 24 hours.

"Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Sirajgonj, Dinajpur and
Moulvibazar and it may continue", said the forecast begins from 9am today.

Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining western
part of Bangladesh. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.
Light to moderate fog may occur over the country during late night to
morning.

Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 29:7 degree Celsius at
Teknaf and minimum temperature today was recorded 09:5 degree Celsius at
Dinajpur.

The sun sets today at 05:41 pm and rises tomorrow at 06:41 am in the capital.
