Met office forecasts light rain likely over parts of country

DHAKA, Feb 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department today forecasted weather may remain dry weather over the country, but having chances of light rain in some places for the next 24 hours begins this morning.

"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Rangpur and Sylhet divisions, said the forecast begins from 9am today.

Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from late night to morning.

Night temperature may rise by (1-2)oC and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 31.3 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and minimum temperature today was 11.3 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.

The sun sets at 05:51 pm today and rises at 06:34 am in the capital.
