DSCC to continue harassment-free services to public: administrator

DHAKA, March 20, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Md Shahjahan Mia has said that harassment-free public services will continue in the areas under the jurisdiction of the south city corporation.


He said this while addressing the fifth meeting of the DSCC Steering Committee today.


Twenty-five members of the DSCC Management Committee, including representatives from various government departments and organizations, participated in the meeting.


The meeting approved in principle the 'Dhaka South City Corporation Controlled Graveyard Management Policy-2025', amending the 'Dhaka South City Corporation Controlled Graveyard Management Policy-2020', with the aim of providing services to the city residents living in Dhaka South City Corporation easily and in accordance with the rules.

On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, it has been decided to pay honorarium of Taka 3,000 and Taka 1,500 per person respectively to the Imams and Muazzins of mosques under the jurisdiction of Dhaka South City Corporation.

Besides, it was decided to increase the festival allowance of all daily wage employees of Dhaka South City Corporation to Taka 3,000 per Eid for the Muslim community instead of Taka 2,000, and Taka 6,000 per year instead of Taka 4,000 for followers of other religions.

Dhaka South City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Dr Zillur Rahman and Corporation Secretary Mohammad Bashirul Haque Bhuiyan, along with all department heads and regional executive officers were present at the meeting.
