15 arrested in joint forces' drives in Uttara

DHAKA, March 21, 2025 (BSS) - The joint forces in separate raids arrested 15 criminals from Uttara area of the city last night and recovered sharp weapons and different drugs from their possessions.

"A total of 15 people were arrested from Uttara Sector-9 Navana CNG Pump area, Chairmantak and its adjacent areas on Thursday night. A number of sharp weapons, ganja, and yaba tablets were recovered from their possessions," Uttara West Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Hafizur Rahman told BSS.

Confirming the matter, an officer of Uttara Diabari Army Camp requesting anonymity, said the arrestees were members of muggers and drug trader gangs.

"They were handed over to concerned police stations and filing of cases is underway," he added.
