Rain with temporary gusty or squally wind likely: BMD

DHAKA, Mar22, 2025 (BSS) - Rain or thundershowers or lightning flashes accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

A release from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said this noon saying that the weather forecast would remain valid for 72 hours commencing at 9 am of today.

It said the day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

Trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

Day and night temperature may rise gradually in the next five days, said the Met office.

The BMD recorded maximum temperature of yesterday as 34.2 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram division while 17.5 degrees Celsius as minimum temperature of today at Rajarhat in Rangpur Division. 

Today's sunset at Dhaka will be at 06:10pm while tomorrow's sunrise here will be at 06:00 am.
