Army hosts Iftar for injured students of July uprising

DHAKA, Mar 23, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh Army hosted an iftar and dinner in honour of the injured students of July-August Mass Upsurge at Senamalancha in Dhaka Cantonment today.

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman was present as the chief guest at the event, said an ISPR press release.

During the Iftar and dinner, the army chief exchanged greeting with the students and inquired about their health and well-being.

Along with the injured students, the Iftar and dinner was also attended by senior military officials, prominent civil society members and directors of various government hospitals.

Bangladesh Army also presented Eid gifts to the injured students as a gesture of goodwill and support.

It is to be noted that, since the July Mass Uprising, 4,215 individuals have received medical treatment at various Combined Military Hospitals (CMH) across the country, with 989 successful surgeries conducted for those injured.

Currently, 39 individuals are still receiving treatment at the CMH in Dhaka.
