Bhutanese PM sends bouquet to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia

DHAKA, Nov 23, 2025 (BSS) - Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, currently on an official visit to Bangladesh, has sent a bouquet to Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

This evening at 8:00 pm, a BNP delegation led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir met with Tshering Tobgay at Hotel Intercontinental here.

Following the meeting, the Bhutanese Prime Minister sent the bouquet through Mirza Fakhrul as a gesture of goodwill for Begum Khaleda Zia.

BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan said the bouquet was handed over to the hospitalized BNP Chairperson by the party Secretary General.

Earlier, Mirza Fakhrul, along with BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan and Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid, held discussions with the Bhutanese Prime Minister.

During the meeting, Tshering Tobgay inquired about the health of Begum Khaleda Zia and also discussed matters related to trade, business, energy and other areas of mutual interest between the two countries.
