DHAKA, April 2, 2026 (BSS) - Minister of Fisheries, Livestock, and Agriculture Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid drew attention this morning after demonstrating a simple yet symbolic act of discipline at Bangladesh Secretariat, sending a strong message of following the rule.

“Upon arriving at the ministry, the minister chose to follow standard procedures while entering the building and using the elevator, standing in line like other officials and staff,” according to a press release of the ministry.

His actions sparked discussion among employees present, with many viewing it as a strong message about the importance of rule-following in public service.

“If we follow the law even in small steps, then change is bound to come. By building a culture of discipline and respect for rules, we can create a more responsible and developed society,” he opined.

Speaking to reporters before entering his office, the minister emphasized the value of discipline in everyday conduct.

He also highlighted the role of government employees in setting standards.

According to him, adherence to rules and regulations in public offices can lead to a more organized work environment and contribute to improving citizens’ quality of life.

Eyewitnesses noted that such behavior from a high-ranking persona sends a powerful message.

Some described it as a positive shift in administrative culture, reinforcing ideas of equality, accountability, and mutual respect among staff members.

Observers added that when leadership models such conduct, it can inspire similar changes across different levels of administration.

Many see the minister’s initiative as a constructive example that could help promote a stronger culture of lawfulness and professionalism in government institutions.
