DHAKA, April 2, 2026 (BSS)— The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is set to hold a crucial meeting on Saturday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Several key issues are expected to dominate the meeting, which will be led by president Aminul Islam Bulbul, who had recently returned to the country after spending a holiday with his family in Australia.

The Dhaka Premier League (DPL), the country’s most important domestic competition, is likely to be the main focus. Board members are expected to decide how to resume the league and break the ongoing deadlock for the benefit of the players.

Routine matters will also be on the agenda, including preparations for the upcoming series against New Zealand.

At present, 37 players are training under the supervision of head coach Phil Simmons. Following the announcement of the national squad for the white-ball series against New Zealand, full-scale practice sessions will begin.

Meanwhile, the board is yet to formally accept the resignation of media and communications committee chairman Amzad Hossain. A decision on the matter may also be taken during the meeting.
