Remittance inflow grows 20.8pc till April 1

DHAKA, April 2, 2026 (BSS) - Remittance inflow grew by 20.8 percent year-on-year, reaching $26,326 million during July 1 to April 1 of the fiscal year 2025-26, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data issued today. 

Last year, during the same period, the country received $21,803 million in remittances. 

During the first day of April, expatriates sent home $118 million in remittances compared to $17 million in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
