Two accused in multiple cases held in Narayanganj

NARAYANGANJ, April 2, 2026 (BSS) - Police today arrested an alleged gang leader and his son, both accused in multiple criminal cases, recovering 53 rounds of pistol bullets from their possession in Narayanganj.

The arrestees were identified as Razzak, 50, reportedly the head of the so-called "Razzak Bahini," and his son Md. Wasim, 22.

Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mizanur Rahman Munshi disclosed the information at a press briefing held at his office.

He said the duo was apprehended during a drive conducted in the Isdair area under Fatullah around 7:45 am following a tip-off.

A police team led by Sub-Inspectors Nandan Chandra Sarkar and Shamim Hossain carried out the drive.

According to police, Razzak is accused in 12 cases, while Wasim faces seven cases, including charges of murder, abduction and drug-related offences.

A fresh case has been filed in connection with the incident, police added.
