The Labour Secretary said this while addressing at the 20th meeting of the tripartite consultative council on RMG affairs held at the Labour Ministry conference room today.

In the meeting, the workers and the owners extended thanks to the Ministry of Labour and Employment for taking necessary steps for disbursing salaries and allowances to the workers centering the Eid-ul-Fitr and thus arranging their leaves.

About the decisions taken in the day’s meeting, Shafiquzzaman said that legal action would be taken against the owners if they sack workers without any valid reason.

If necessary, he said that travel ban to foreign countries would be imposed on the concerned accused owners with support from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
