DHAKA, April 12, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in next 24 hours commencing 9am today.

"Rain/thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna and Dhaka divisions," said a Met office press release.

The met office said weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga in Khulna division and Sandwip in Chattogram division and minimum temperature today was recorded 20 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.

The sun sets today at 06:19pm and rises at 05:39am tomorrow in the capital.
