Land Adviser for ensuring public service with honesty

DHAKA, April 13, 2025 (BSS) - Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumder has urged all concerned officials of the ministry to remain engaged in public service with utmost professionalism and honesty.

He came up with the call while speaking at the certificate distribution and closing ceremony of the '139th Survey and Settlement Training Course' at the seminar room of the Bhumi Bhaban in the capital today.

Ali Imam Majumder called for establishing good governance in the land sector to ensure people-friendly land services. "Many things have already changed over time . . . We have to adjust the changes and ensure proper services," said the land adviser.

In the changing situation, he said, "We have to dedicate ourselves to public service with utmost professionalism and honesty harnessing the knowledge acquired from training".

In the current context, Ali Imam called upon everyone to work together to meet the expectations of the people. Addressing the trainees, the land adviser said the knowledge gained from survey and settlement training should be practiced.

Land Ministry's Senior Secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed, Chairman (Secretary) of the Land Reforms Board ASM Salauddin Nagri, Chairman (Secretary) of the Land Appeal Board Mohammad Ibrahim and senior officials of the ministry and other departments and organizations were present there.

Director General of the Department of Land Records and Survey Md Saidur Rahman presided over the program, the release said.

The Department of Land Records and Survey every year arranges the Survey and Settlement Training for BCS (Administration, Police, Forest and Railway) and Bangladesh Judicial Service officers in three batches.
