Int'l organizations keen to give assistance on CJ's roadmap for reform

DHAKA, April 15, 2025 (BSS) – UNDP representatives, ambassadors and high commissioners to the UK, Sweden and the European Union participated in various seminars have expressed solidarity with the roadmap for judicial reform announced by Chief Justice Dr Syed Refaat Ahmed.
  
They assured of extending cooperation on this roadmap for reforms, said a press release, signed by Md Shafiqul Islam, Public Relations Officer of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, today. 
 
According to the release, the European Union Office in Bangladesh praised the reform roadmap on their verified Facebook page on April 13.
 
They shared their experiences and assured financial support in establishing the rule of law in the country, especially in establishing specialized commercial courts.
 
UNDP gave a formal statement on its official Facebook page praising the Chief Justice's reform roadmap and reaffirmed its support as a development partner in the implementation of the reform roadmap. 
 
Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed outlined a roadmap to reform the judiciary on 21 September last year.
