DMP files 1,630 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, April 21, 2025 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed a total of 1,630 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

This information was confirmed in a press release issued here today signed by DMP deputy commissioner (media and public relations), Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

It said the DMP Traffic Division filed those cases and realized fines during April 20 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.

The DMP release said that 124 motor vehicles were dumped and 115 vehicles were wrecked during the drive.

These drives will continue to ensure discipline on the city streets, it added.

The DMP traffic division has been working to bring traffic system under smooth in the capital for giving city dwellers easy movement.
