DHAKA, May 16, 2025 (BSS) - In a series of nationwide special operations, 1662 more individuals were arrested in the last 24 hours.

Assistant Inspector General (Media and Public Relations) of Police, Police Headquarters Inamul Haque Sagor disclosed the information to BSS here today. 

He said of the arrestees, 1058 were apprehended in connection with previous cases and outstanding warrants, while 604 individuals were detained on different criminal charges, it said.

Sagor, however, said during the operations, one LG gun was recovered. 

He said that the special operations will be continued.
