DHAKA, May 17, 2025(BSS) - The National Legal Air Organization so far realized Taka 6,63,26,215 from different organizations for the labourers as compensation, official sources said here today.

According to the website of the organization, it has realized the money for the labourers across the country from 2013 to April this year. At the beginning, this organization provided service to the poor justice seekers at the district level, later a toll free call centre was introduced in the Supreme Court and two other centres were set up for the labourers in Dhaka and Chattogram. Similar service was also introduced in all prisons of the country.

The legal aid centre in Dhaka and Chattogram gave 21,549 legal services to the labourers till April this year. The cell so far moved 4425 cases for the labourers of which, 809 cases have been resolved by this time.

Besides, the organization has initiated 3300 cases for alternative dispute resolution (ADR) system in which 1913 cases were resolved. A total of 29,274 labourers so far received legal advice from the Dhaka and Chattogram centres of the organization.

The organization has been providing legal services to the poor and marginal justice seekers of the country under the guidance of the ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs ministry since its inception.
