DHAKA, June 7, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia today exchanged Eid greetings with the party's standing committee members as they met her at her Feroza residence in Gulshan in the late evening today.

After coming out from Firoza, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “This is a moment of joy for us today. Our leader around whom we have been doing politics for a long time and BNP has achieved a lot of success under her leadership. When we talk to the leader who has brought qualitative change in Bangladeshi politics, we naturally feel newly inspired.''

"She always expresses her unwavering faith in democracy,” he said.

About her physical condition, the BNP Secretary General said she is doing well.

Khaleda Zia extended Eid greetings to all and sought prayers for her and the country, he added.

Party standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Jamir Uddin Sirkar, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Salahuddin Ahmed, Selima Rahman, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed and AZM Zahid Hossain were present.

Later, party's vice chairmen Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, Mohammad Shahjahan and Abdul Awal Mintoo, Chairperson's Advisory Council members Abdul Halim and Afroza Khanam Rita and other party leaders exchanged Eid greetings.
