AK Khandker’s wife Farida passes away

DHAKA, June 8, 2025 (BSS) - Farida Khandker, wife of Deputy Chief of Staff of the Liberation War, Commander of air operation 'Kiloflight' of the Liberation War and former Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal AK Khandker, passed away today while undergoing treatment at Dhaka CMH.

She was 82.

She is survived by two sons, one daughter and three grandchildren.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan expressed deep shock at her death and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

Her namaz-e-janaza will be held at the BAF Shaheen Mosque in Dhaka next Wednesday after Asr prayers.

Later, she will be laid to rest at the BAF Shaheen Graveyard.
