BNP will always have consensus in national interest: Khosru

DHAKA, June 17, 2025 (BSS) - The Standing Committee Member of Bangladesh 
Nationalist Party (BNP) Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury today said if BNP wins 
the upcoming national polls and forms the government, there will always be 
consensus in national interest. 

"BNP will work with everyone in any crisis in the country," he told a press 
conference organised after a meeting of the BNP delegation with Brazilian 
Ambassador in Dhaka Paulo Fernando Dias Feres at the BNP Chairperson's 
political office in the city's Gulshan area.

The delegation was led by the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam 
Alamgir.

Khasru said Brazil has assured of all kinds of cooperation when the country's 
elected government comes. 

"They are especially interested in working in the agricultural sector of 
Bangladesh. Brazil is one of the world's leading agricultural countries, and 
most people in Bangladesh are involved in this profession. The country will 
provide assistance on how to further enrich the country's agricultural sector 
in the future," he said.

Stating that Brazil also wants to help Bangladesh in the field of sports, the 
senior BNP leader said, Brazil will work for the development of football in 
Bangladesh. 

"You know what Brazil means when it comes to the best football country in the 
world. It is undoubtedly a joy when they want to work for the development of 
our football. Along with football, they will also work for the development of 
basketball," he said.

Shama Obaid, organising secretary of BNP, was also present at the press 
conference.
