18 new COVID-19 cases, 2 reported deaths in 24 hours

DHAKA, June 17, 2025 (BSS) - The Health Department has confirmed 18 new COVID-19 infections in the country over a 24-hour period from 8:00 am Sunday to 8:00 am Monday. 

A total of 312 samples were tested during this time, yielding a positivity rate of 5.77 percent.

Two more COVID-19-related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours bringing the total number of deaths in 2025 to seven.

The cumulative death toll since the pandemic began in 2020 stands at 29,506.
