Govt asks all to show tolerance in struggle to establish justice

DHAKA, June 22, 2025 (BSS) - The interim government has requested all citizens of the country to play a tolerant role in the struggle to establish justice.

It made the request in a statement issued by the Chief Adviser's Press Wing tonight.

Police today arrested former Chief Election Commissioner Nurul Huda in the capital in a specific case.

"At this time, the chaotic situation created by the mob and physical assault of the accused has come into the attention of the interim government," the statement read.

The government has also requested all citizens not to take the law into their own hands.

All accused persons will be brought to justice in accordance with the law of the country and the court will decide on the matter, according to the statement.

"Carrying out attacks on and physically assaulting the accused persons is illegal, contrary to the rule of law, and it is a criminal offense. The law enforcing agencies will identify all those involved in creating chaotic situation by creating 'mob' and will take proper action," it said.
