DHAKA, June 23, 2025 (BSS) - China National Congress’s Deputy Li Hongzhong has invited Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to visit the country.

He made the invitation while welcoming the visiting BNP delegation in China, according to a today’s Facebook post of BNP Media Cell.  

It said a bilateral meeting between BNP and Communist Party of China (CPC) took place today at the Peoples Great Hall. 

During the meeting, CPC Politburo member and Deputy of the National Congress, Li Hongzhong, warmly welcomed the visiting BNP delegation.

At the outset of the discussions, Li extended a formal invitation to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to visit China.

The BNP delegation was led by the party’s Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Li Hongzhong expressed hope that the relations between the two parties and the two countries will deepen and reach a new level.

Praising the positive role of China's leadership in regional politics, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir called for making this initiative multilateral and broader.
