Seven SP ranks police officials transferred

DHAKA, June 23, 2025 (BSS) - The home ministry has transferred seven police officers having the rank of superintendent of police (SP) to new stations.

"The transfer order will come into immediate effect," said a circular issued yesterday by Public Security Division under the home ministry, signed by the Division's deputy secretary Mahbubur Rahman.

Special SP of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) SM Rafiqul Islam has been transferred to Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) as SP, while Special SP of CID AKM Emran Bhuiyan has been posted to the Industrial Police.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) Md Sazib Khan has been transferred to CID, while SP of Armed Battalion of Police (APBn) Sudipto Roy has been transferred to SMP. 

Besides, SP of Special Branch (SB) Samrat Mohammad Abu Sufian has been transferred to Police Headquarters as Assistant Inspector General (AIG), DC of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Mohammad Badrul Alam Molla was transferred to CID as SP and DC of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mohammad Rahat Gowhari has been transferred to the In-Service Training Centre in Bandarban.
