Law enforcers ready to hold polls anytime: Jahangir

TANGAIL, June 24, 2025 (BSS) - Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md 
Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Monday said law enforcers are ready to hold the 
next parliamentary election anytime.

"Not only police but also all the law enforcers are ready to hold the next 
election. They are ready for election to be announced anytime," he told a 
view-exchange meeting with the government officials at deputy commissioner 
office here.

Mentioning that they have taken required initiatives to make the police force 
as humane one, he said, "So, the police force has become humane. They don't 
misbehave with the people like the past. And the black spot on the police 
will be removed if it is built as a pro-people organization."

The Home Adviser has highly praised the recent role of police in maintaining 
the law and order, saying, "The police are now working much better."

About the preparation to tackle the possible flood, Jahangir said the 
government has maximum preparation to face the impending flood.

Officials at the local administration and police including Tangail district 
Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque and Police Super Mohammad Mizanur Rahman 
were present at the meeting.

The Home Adviser earlier visited academic building of the Police Training 
Centre (PTC) at Mahera under Mirzapur Upazila and talked with trainees of 
various training courses.

At that time, he reiterated that those who are creating mobs will be exposed 
to justice.

High official of the PTC were present at that time.
