DHAKA, June 24, 2025 (BSS) – The use of electronic devices is strictly prohibited within a 200-yard radius of centres conducting the HSC and equivalent examinations, set to begin on June 26.

To ensure a fair and smooth examination process, a decision has been made to ban the use of electronic devices—including mobile phones—by teachers, students, and staff during the exam period.

Additionally, all coaching centres   remained  closed  since June 20 and will conitue till August 15, as part of efforts to maintain a secure and cheat-free environment, according to an official statement issued today.

These directives were finalized in a recent meeting at the Ministry of Education, chaired by Education Adviser Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, aimed at holding the examinations with discipline manners.

The meeting also emphasized on taking legal actions against individuals involved in leaking out question papers, spreading rumours, or distributing counterfeit exam papers.

To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, Bangladesh Army, along with local administration and law enforcement agencies, will be engaged during the exam period.

Furthermore, designated personnel must coordinate with the Cyber Police Centre, CID, via hotline (01320010148) for any cyber-related issues.

To mitigate disruptions due to power outages, the Power Division has been instructed to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to examination centres.

Students must arrive at least 30 minutes before the exam begins. Late arrivals will not be permitted, except in unavoidable cases. In such instances, the centre must document the student's name, roll number, entry time, and reason for delay, and report it to the board daily.

If any room experiences a delay due to natural calamities, the affected students will be allotted the equivalent amount of additional time to complete the exam.
