Australian High Commissioner meets IGP

DHAKA, June 24, 2025 (BSS) - An Australian delegation led by Australian High 
Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle today paid a courtesy call on Inspector 
General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam.

The Australian envoy along with Australian Federal Police Representative 
Matthew Craft met with the IGP at the Police Headquarters this morning.

During the meeting, discussions were held on cooperation between Bangladesh 
and Australian Federal Police in preventing human trafficking, money 
laundering and other crimes, said a press release of the Police Headquarters.

The IGP informed them that the Bangladesh Police is striving to increase 
cooperation with the Australian Federal Police.

Additional IG of Special Branch (SB) Md. Golam Rasul, Additional IG (Crime 
and Operations) Khondoker Rafiqul Islam, Additional IG of Criminal 
Investigation Department (CID) Md. Sibgat Ullah and other senior police 
officers were present at the meeting.
