World Bank delegation calls on JU VC

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, June 24, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation from the World 
Bank (WB) paid a courtesy call on Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-
Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan.
 
It was confirmed by a press release of the university signed by its acting 
director (Public Relations Office) Mohammad Mahiuddin today.
 
The WB delegation, led by Jerome Bazzina, expressed keen interest in learning 
about the university's educational and research activities.
 
During the meeting that was held at noon at the VC's office, Prof Ahsan 
warmly thanked the delegation for their interest and highlighted various 
aspects of the university's academic and research endeavors.
 
The meeting was attended, among others, by World Bank representatives Thomas 
Switala, Suparna Roy, Faruq Ahmed, Sabrina Tanzin and Jannatul Naeem.

Besides, JU Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Dr. Sohel Ahmed and Prof Masum 
Shahriar from the Pharmacy Department were also present from JU side.
 
Following the meeting, the World Bank delegation visited the university's 
Research Innovation Center to observe its ongoing initiatives.
