Disaster Adviser receives cheque of Tk 3cr for flood victims

DHAKA, June 25, 2025 (BSS) - Relief and Disaster Management Adviser Faruk-e-Azam, Bir Protik, today received a cheque of Taka 3 crore from Eco-Tex Limited for helping last year’s flood affected people.

The adviser received the cheque -- on behalf of the Chief Adviser of the interim government -- at the office of the Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management, an official release said. 

He also thanked the authority of the Eco-Tex Limited for standing by the side of the flood affected people at that time.

Among others, Secretary to the Relief and Disaster Management Ministry Md Mustafizur Rahman, Additional Secretary ABM Shafiqul Islam, Executive Director of the Eco-Tex Limited Md Bin Kashem and its Financial Director Syed Abdul Mannan were present at that time.   

The adviser on behalf of the chief adviser so far received a total of 242 cheques, pay orders and bank drafts worth about Taka 101,16,72,303 as donation.
