DHAKA, Aug 14, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am.

“Light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi & Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Wednesday recorded 34.4 degree Celsius in Sitakunda under Chattogram division, while today’s minimum temperature was 24.5 degree Celsius in Bandarban.

The sun sets at 6:33 pm today and rises at 5:34 am tomorrow in the capital.
