Occupational health and safety management training begins at KU

KHULNA, Sept 13, 2025 (BSS) - A two-day training workshop on 'Occupational Health and Safety Management' has begun at Khulna University on Friday. 

Under the initiative of the Environmental Science Discipline, with support from the Environmental Awareness Club and AJA Bangladesh Limited, Professor Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman, Head of the Environmental Science Discipline, inaugurated the workshop.

Professor Rahman emphasized that learning about workplace safety and health risk management is extremely important for students.
 
He noted that such training will enhance their practical skills before entering professional life.

Following the inauguration, technical sessions were conducted by Engr. ATM Anisuzzaman, National Consultant of ILO-Better Work, Md. Kabirul Alam, Business Head and Lead Tutor of AJA Bangladesh Limited and Audit Officer Masum Al Hasan Mehedi.

Students of the Environmental Science Discipline are participating in the two-day training, which includes multiple sessions and presentations on workplace health risks, ensuring safe working environments, and safety management systems.
