RANGPUR, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS)- Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) today inaugurated seven new buses for carrying the students on the campus.
 
The buses provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC) were hired from BRTC on rental basis. The measure will resolve the transportation crisis on the campus, students and officials hoped.

Vice-chancellor of the university Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali inaugurated the new buses at a colorful ceremony.
 
BRUR Syndicate Member and Vice-chancellor of Kurigram Agricultural University Professor Dr Rashedul Islam and Professor of the Department of Marketing of Dhaka University Dr ABM Shahidul Islam were present.
 
Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali thanked the UGC for providing the buses saying all efforts will continue to maintain a fair and congenial academic environment.
