PATUAKHALI, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) – Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) unveiled the cover of a souvenir titled Memorable July (Smoronio July), published to mark the observance of 'July-August 24 Mass Uprising Day,' today.

Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam, officially unveiled the cover of the publication at his office around 11 am.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam said, “The July-August Mass Uprising is a unique milestone in our national history."

“The July Uprising not only paved the way for democracy but also gave new momentum to the struggle to establish the spirit of the Liberation War and the rights of the people,” he added.

“Students must learn from this movement that they can never bow down to injustice,” he said.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. SM Hemayet Jahan, Registrar Professor Dr. Md. Iktiar Uddin, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering Professor Dr. Khokon Hossen, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries Professor Dr. Md. Sazedul Hoque, and Private Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Hossain, among others, were present on the occasion.
