6th Int’l conference of CUET's Physics Department concludes

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 31, 2025 (BSS) - The two-day "6th International Conference on Physics for Sustainable Development and Technology (ICPSDT)-2025" of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET’s) Physics Department concluded yesterday.

The closing ceremony of the conference took place at the TSC Cafeteria of CUET on the evening of October 30, 2025. The event was attended by Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University, Professor Dr. Saleh Hasan Naqib, as well as the Guest of Honor, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of CUET, Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan. 

The Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Professor Dr. A.H. Rashedul Hossain, was also present as the special guest.

Technical Chair of the conference and Professor of the Department of Physics, Dr. Swapan Kumar Roy, presided over the event. The conference's Technical Member Secretary and Professor of the Department of Physics, Dr. Md. Ashraf Ali, delivered the welcome speech. 

It is worth noting that leading academicians, scholars and researchers from various universities and scientific research organizations in America, China, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh participated in the 6th International Conference of the Department of Physics. 

There were three keynote speakers and 15 invited speakers. A total of 274 papers selected from 400 papers were presented in this conference. Out of these, 165 were oral and 109 were poster articles. The conference was held under the overall supervision of the CUET authorities. It was sponsored by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh.
