BAGERHAT, Sept 17, 2025 (BSS) – Fifteen villages and schools under Kachua Upazia as eco-friendly and green ones due to having much greenery and the environment suitable for living of all kinds animals and plants.  

The World Vision Bangladesh made the announcement today at a programme held at Kachua upazila auditorium of Bagerhat district.  

It also declared Moghia union of the upazila as child labour-free union. 

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Ali Hasan was present at the programme as the chief guest while Kachua AP Manager of the organisation Alice Mandal presided over the programme. 

Upazila Livestock Officer Md. Ali, Upazila Youth Development Officer Akbar Hossain Hawlader, Women Affairs Officer Monowara Khanam, Agricultural Extension Officer Sheikh Naimur Rashid Likhon, and General Secretary of Kachua Press Club Ujjwal Kumar Das were present as special guests at the programme.

At the function, 11 children were given Taka 10,000 in cash each to return them to normal life from child labour.
