Nat'l moon sighting committee to meet tomorrow to fix holy Rabius Sani

DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) - A meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee will be held tomorrow to verify the sighting of the moon and fix the starting date of the holy month of Rabius Sani, Hijri 1447. 

Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain is scheduled to chair the meeting at 6:30 pm, after the Maghrib prayer, at the Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram conference room, according to a press release today. 

If the moon of Rabius Sani is sighted anywhere in the country, people are requested to inform the authorities via telephone numbers: 02-223381725, 02-41050912, 02-41050916, or 02-41050917, or report to the concerned deputy commissioner or upazila nirbahi officer.
