3-day workshop on ICT training manual held in Savar

DHAKA, Sept 24, 2025 (BSS) - The inauguration ceremony of a three-day workshop focused on reviewing and upgrading the ICT training manual was held at the BRAC CDM in Savar, Dhaka today.

The workshop, organised by the National University (NU) with technical support from the a2i Programme of the ICT Division and UNICEF Bangladesh, aims to refine the ICT training manual that will be used to implement the university's ICT curriculum, according to a NU press release.

The workshop brought together domain experts, training manual development specialists and representatives from the a2i Program, UNICEF and the NU. 

ICT Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury was present at the inaugural ceremony of the event as the chief guest with NU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr ASM Amanullah in the chair.

NU Pro VC Prof Dr. Nurul Islam, Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Project Director (Joint Secretary) Md. Abdur Rofiq and Chief of Education of UNICEF Bangladesh Deepa Sankar were present as special guests on the occasion.

The workshop is part of an ongoing effort to ensure that the training manual is accessible and relevant to both urban and rural students, providing them with essential ICT skills.

During the workshop, participants reviewed the content and structure of the manual, discussed possible upgrades and worked towards finalizing a resource that will benefit millions of students and teachers across the country. 

The manual is expected to play a key role in enhancing digital literacy and improving educational outcomes nationwide.
