DUAA celebrates 77th founding anniversary

Dhaka, Sept 24, 2025 (BSS) - The 77th founding anniversary of the Dhaka 
University Alumni Association (DUAA) was celebrated today through various 
programmes on the university campus.

Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University (DU) Professor Dr Niaz Ahmad Khan 
inaugurated the day-long celebration program as the chief guest at a 
programme held in front of the Senate Bhaban.

DUAA Convener Shamsuzzaman Dudu presided over the inaugural session while 
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Saima Haque Bidisha spoke 
on the occasion. 

DUAA Member-Secretary ATM Abdul Bari Danny conducted the program.

Speaking at the function, DU VC prof. Niaz Ahmad Khan urged the Alumni 
Association to work in unison with the university administration for the 
advancement of education and research. 

"The activities of the Alumni Association have become much more visible now. 
At present, we are passing through a challenging time we have to overcome all 
challenges all together," he added.

The inaugural session was followed by a cultural programme.
