NCP has scope to sign July Charter : Khalid

SAVAR, Oct 17, 2025 (BSS) – Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossen today said although the National Citizen Party (NCP) has not participated in the July Charter signing ceremony but there is an opportunity to participate later.
 
He made this comment while talking with the reporters after joining Kathinchibor Dan programme of the Buddhist at Savar Bano Bihar in Baipail of Ashulia here this afternoon.
 
Khalid Hossen said the NCP’s demand about the July Charter would be considered by the government.
 
Talking about Adviser’s safe exit, the religious affairs adviser said there is no necessary of safe exit for them, adding that "I am professionally a teacher and I have no own houses at Dhaka and Chittagong. So, there is no question to go abroad".
 
He said they have taken office in a critical time as there was nothing in right situation.  “we are working relentlessly for the last fifteen months, but now the situation is more better”, he added.
 
"We want to handover power to a winner party through conducting free, fair election in February in 2026," he told the Journalists.
