Two medical college hospitals get new directors

DHAKA, Nov 17, 2025 (BSS) – The government has appointed two Armed Forces Division officials as the new directors of two medical college hospitals on deputation. 

The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this regard here today.

According to the notification, Brigadier General ATMA Rustom was appointed director of Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital and Brigadier General PKM Masud-ul-Islam as director of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

The notification said that the two army officers also received promotion to the rank of Brigadier General from Colonel.

The current director of Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital Brigadier General Md Mazharul Islam Khan and director of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital Brigadier General FM Shamim Ahammad were returned back to the Armed Forces Division. 

The notification said that the order will come into immediate effect.
