DHAKA, Dec 04, 2025 (BSS) - Telephone Shilpa Sangstha (TSS) Limited and EDOTCO Bangladesh Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a repair and refurbishment center for critical network power components.

The MoU signing ceremony took place at the meeting room of the Posts and Telecommunications Division, said a press release here today.

The agreement was signed by Dr Manwar Hossein Malla, Managing Director of TSS, and Sunil Issac, Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh.

Speaking as the chief guest, Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb said that the MoU marks a major step toward strengthening the country's telecom infrastructure.

He said that the new center will improve network reliability, reduce import dependency and help develop skilled manpower. This initiative could eventually pave the way for local battery cell manufacturing, saving foreign currency and opening new technological opportunities, he added.

Posts and Telecommunications Division Secretary Abdun Naser Khan chaired the event.

He emphasized that the partnership reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing the telecom support ecosystem.

He stated that combining TSS’s industrial capacity with EDOTCO’s global expertise will create a strong, mutually beneficial collaboration that supports not only the telecom sector but also other technology-driven industries.

Senior officials of the Posts and Telecommunications Division, along with representatives from TSS and EDOTCO, attended the event.
