Students with special needs will get extra time in NU exams

DHAKA, Dec 04, 2025 (BSS) - The special students (autistic, down syndrome, cerebral palsy) would get 30 minutes of extra time in the Honors 3rd year examination-2024 under National University. 

This information was given in a notification signed by National University Controller of Examinations Md. Enamul Karim today. 

The notification said the special student must have a disability certificate from the Department of Social Services to get this special benefit. At least two working days before the start of the examination, the principal or officer-in-charge should send the information of the disabled examinees (copy of the admit card and copy of the disability certificate) to the Controller of Examinations or the concerned Additional Controller of Examinations, it added.

The answer sheets of candidates with special needs should be sealed separately and sent to the Additional Controller of Examinations, Honours 3rd Year, National University, Gazipur-1704. 

The packet should be written with red ink as 'Answer Sheet for Candidates with Disabilities'.
