Shilpakala Academy marks victory day with acrobatic show, special jatra pala

DHAKA, Dec 15, 2025 (BSS)- To mark the victory day, Bangladesh Shilpakala 
Academy with the assistance of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs today 
arranged special events including acrobatic shows and special jatra pala 
'General Osmani' as part of the pre-announced two-day observance.

The programmes were held at the Suhrawardy Udyan this afternoon. The 
acrobatic shows begin at the premises of the Museum of Independence located 
at the Udyan at 3 pm where acrobatic teams of the Shilpakala Academy 
performed.

The shows include Ladder Balance, Kungfu Art, Ring Dance, Group Cycle, Neck 
Iron Bar, Marshal Art etc.

Announcing the concluding of the event, Shilpakala Academy Director General 
(DG) Rezauddin Ahmed Stalin said, "Today, we have presented an example of how 
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) will work in the field of culture from 
now on. We have presented an acrobatic show as a part of observing the 
Victory Day here and our artistes performed very well."

"They can do a lot if they get the opportunities. The Shilpakala Academy is 
working for their development," the DG added.

Besides, a special jatra pala named 'General Osmani' was performed at the 
Suhrawardy Udyan in the afternoon portraying the contribution and crucial 
role of General Muhammad Ataul Gani Osmani, the Commander-in-Chief of 
Bangladesh Army during the Liberation War.

The Shilpakala Academy also planned a Bijoy Dibosh Concert (Victory Day 
Concert) at the Suhrawardy Udyan tomorrow at 2 pm.
