DHAKA, Dec 16, 2025 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Prof Asif Nazrul today said December 16 is Bangladesh’s Victory Day, which is the greatest day for the people of the country.
“Whenever people come to the National Memorial on this day, the glorious history of the Liberation War, the contributions of the valiant freedom fighters and our pledge to build the country come vividly in mind,” he said.
The adviser made the remarks while speaking to journalists after paying tributes at the on National Memorial premises in Savar today.
He said it was the spirit of December 16 that enabled the nation to create an opportunity to rebuild Bangladesh through the historic July mass uprising.
The adviser said visiting the memorial fills him with a sense of gratitude, respect, and love for the martyred and wounded freedom fighters, whose immense sacrifices led to the independence of Bangladesh.
