
Dhaka, Dec 16, 2025 (BSS) - A Victory Day Concert is being held at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on the concluding day of the two-day 'Victory Festival'.
The concert featured a harmonious blend of tunes and music with performances of 'Songs of 1971'. At the same time, songs of the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra were performed simultaneously in 64 districts across the country.
On the occasion of the great Victory Day, the two-day 'Victory Festival' is being organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and managed by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
The concert opened with performances by Tarar Mela Music Academy, presenting "Rokto Diye Naam Likhechi" and "Muktir Mondire Sopan Tole".
Musical band F Minor then performed "Shei Rail Liner Dhare" and "Jongla Phool".
Later, artiste Sayan took the stage and performed "Chobbish Aar Ekattor", "Kobi Tumi", "Swadhinota Mane Bangladesh-Tomar Aar Amar" and "Gaan Cholchhei".
Tonger Gaan presented a mashup of "Dhono Dhannya Pushpo Bhora", "Tir Hara Ei Dhewer Sagor" and "Loke Bole Bole Re".
Ila Lalala band performed "Eta Ekta Bagh'er Gaan", "Shobkota Janala Khule Dao Na", "Anondo" and "Karar Oi Louhokopat".
Band Firoz Jong performed "Aste", "Abar Juddhe Jete Hobe" and "Arekta Raat".
Band Aftermath performed "Odhikar" and "Matir Rod".
Bangla Five performed "Left Right", "Rokto", "Khachar Bhetor Ochin Pakhi", "Ami Chhute Jai", "Confusion" and "Back Bencher".
Till the filing of this report, the concert was ongoing. Bands Shironamhin and Lalon were scheduled to perform next. The event was hosted by Masuk Siddiq and Maria Fariha Upoma. A large crowd of spectators thronged Suhrawardy Udyan to enjoy the Victory Day concert.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director General SK Rezauddin Ahmed (Rezauddin Stalin) and its Secretary Mohammad Zakir Hossain were present, among others.
