FENI, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS)- Nomination form has been collected for BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia for the Feni-1 (Fulgazi, Parshuram and Chhagalnaiya) constituency for the upcoming 13th  National Parliamentary Election. 

Abu Taleb, a member of the party's national executive committee, collected the nomination form on behalf of Begum Khaleda Zia from the district returning officer's office this afternoon.

District Jatiyatabadi Lawyers Forum president Advocate Farid Uddin Khan Nayan, general secretary Advocate Partha Pal Chowdhury, Zia Mancha district convenor Advocate Shahjalal Bhunya Sabuj, Chhagalnaiya upazila Swechasebak Dal convenor Zafar Hossain Majumdar, Fulgazi upazila Jubo Dal senior joint convener Nurul Huda Shaheen, Advocate Arifur Rahman and Advocate Zahid Hossain, among others, were present.

After collecting the nomination form, BNP leader Abu Taleb said that Begum Khaleda Zia has been elected with large majorities in all the constituencies she has contested so far.

In politics, she has taken a place as an uncompromising leader, he added. 

“As she is ill, I have collected the nomination form on behalf of Begum Zia as per decision of the central leaders. With the prayers of crores of people of the country, she will recover and come back to us again,” he said. 

Begum Khaleda Zia's ancestral home is Sreepur in Fulgazi upazila of the district. She has been elected Member of Parliament for five consecutive times from this constituency.
