DU opens condolence book for Begum Khaleda Zia

DHAKA, Jan 4, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have opened a condolence book today in memory of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof Dr. S M A Faiez, DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, former vice-chancellors, former pro-vice chancellors, members of the Senate and Syndicate, and eminent educationists signed the condolence book during the issuance.

The condolence book will remain open until January 6 for teachers, students, officers, and employees of the university. 

The book has been placed at the Professor Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom in the administrative building for signing.
